Mon ,26/10/2009

This Sunday Callum and Alex’s dads are going up to Kielder Forest with Callum and Alex. They are meeting at 10.00 at the end of the lake car park, (Castle Car Park). They are going to ride along the bottom end of the lake, which is fairly flat, after going on skills loop first, which is situated next to car park. Should be good fun and all are welcome to join them

Ordering Club Kit

Wed ,14/10/2009

Richard has put together some forms and information on this now and it can all be found on the ‘Club Kit’ section on this web site.  Have a look and see all the options which are possible and the prices.  He also has some stock of new kit and is running a clearance special offer on some old stock kit pre 2009, which has the old style phoenix on it.

There are order forms you can fill in and either email to him or let him have them on a Saturday morning.  Delivery is 4-6 weeks from the order placement, but Richard has to wait till he has 20 items on his list before he can place the order, he’ll comment here when he gets the number required to go ahead.

Velodrome Demand and Needs Study

Sun ,11/10/2009

Strategic Leisure have recently been commissioned to undertake the above study by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council. The Council have been considering the scheme for some time and the proposed site under consideration for the new facility is close to the existing sports facilities at Eston Sports Academy and would form part of the Regeneration of Greater Eston.

British Cycling are a key stakeholder in the proposed development and are fully supportive of the scheme seeing it as a much needed facility in the North East region.

The velodrome study is a significant piece of work looking at the potential demand for such a facility not only within Redcar and Cleveland or the Tees Valley, but in the North East as a whole.

As part of the study they are undertaking a consultation exercise to look at the likely demand and need for Cycling facilities needs generally and more specifically what level of club and individual usage there might be if such a facility were to be provided.

They would be grateful if you could complete the survey on line by using the html link http://www.strategicleisure.co.uk/rcindividual.htm by Friday 23rd October 2009

It only takes 5 mins!
