Cyclo-Cross North East is the new name of NECCA (North East Cyclo-Cross Association) it is a branding exercise to help end the confusion between the two leagues in the North East which had very similar names.

They are pleased to announce thier new Sponsor for the series, Kudu Bikes who are supplying the timing equipment for the series.

Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest 2009

Fri ,04/09/2009

JonNewcastle Phoenix coach Jon Bateman is taking part in this event to raise money for North of England Cancer Research Fund.

10km, 10 obstacles and a whole world of pain.

Packing a challenging 10km route in each host city (He is doing the Edinburgh one!), with tough and engaging obstacles every kilometre, he will pit his wits against fellow “Survival” competitors in a test of stamina, grit, speed and guts. Possibly the UK’s toughest obstacle course? Maybe. Possibly the UK’s most action-packed 10k.   Obstacles include….. Army assault course, 3m wall, assent of Jacobs Ladder, swim through the depths of ‘Nor Loch’…. Lets see… thats four…. another six await!…
Anyone who wishes to sponsor him, Click here to go to his justgiving site
Good luck Jon!
